I should clarify:
The text in the first panel is paraphrased from an essay Deborah Tannen wrote called "Sex, Lies, and Conversation" about the differences between how men and women communicate. It's a really good read and Deborah Tannen isn't wrong about anything but mechanical engineering: it fixes everything.
